Welcome to the OCHA Central Asia information management platform for disaster preparedness and response!

The goal of this site is to act as a tool to facilitate communication and to improve data sharing and overall knowledge among the actors of disaster preparedness and humanitarian action in Central Asia. On this web site you will find relevant information about disaster preparedness and response as well as baseline information about all five Central Asian countries. Training material, meetings minutes, workshops background material,discussion forums for areas of interest, news, tools and references concerning humanitarian assistance are also made available here. The site also provides new ways for participation through data sharing and information exchange by all actors of the preparedness and response community in Central Asia.

All visitors to the web site have the possibility to request an account in the “User section” in the left hand menu, which will give you access to uploading and downloading documents as well as accessing the complete document folder. Registered users can also participate in groups with additional access to group specific information. Non-registered users will find relevant information in the county specific menus and can also search for documents in the “Data section”.

It is a new interactive portal which is still under constant development, but the volume of content and information will continue to expand and make readily available the resources that matter in emergency preparedness and response.
